Dr. Roya Mohammadi was born in Albany, Georgia. After living in Georgia for a few years, her family moved to Cincinnati, Ohio to continue her father’s career at Proctor and Gamble. She was raised in West Chester, Ohio and went to Lakota East High School. She went on to graduate from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio where she received her B.S in Kinesiology.
Growing up, Dr. Mohammadi always knew she wanted to be in the healthcare field taking care of patients. Her interest in patient care peaked as she witnessed her mom working as a physician at her Family Care practice in Miamisburg, Ohio. Dr. Mohammadi was particularly fascinated with the eyes. This led her to continue her education at Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida where she earned her Doctorate of Optometry and B.S. in Vision Science.
During her externship, she worked in a mixed ophthalmologist and optometrist practice in South Florida’s diverse population. There she obtained a variety of experience in treating ocular disease, fitting contact lenses, dry eye care and co-managing cataract and LASIK surgery. Dr. Mohammadi deeply cares for her patients and wants to make a lasting connection with each patient. She strives to provide high quality care and patient satisfaction.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Some of her favorite things to do are experimenting with new recipes to practice her cooking skills, exploring different restaurants and finding the best scenic views in the area.
