Dr. Megan Werling grew up in Granger, Indiana. She graduated with distinction from Indiana University in 2011 with a BA in Art History and minors in Biology and Psychology, then completed her doctorate at the Indiana University School of Optometry in 2015.
During optometry school, Dr. Werling was an active member of VOSH and participated in several humanitarian trips to Guanajuato, Mexico. She received the Eschenbach Low Vision Student Award upon graduation. Dr. Werling is a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa academic honor society, the AOA, and OOA.
Dr. Werling's husband Matt works for the University of Cincinnati Foundation. Together they have a son named August and a dog named Louie. Her hobbies include spoiling her dog, painting, baking, learning guitar, being a foodie, and enjoying the Cincinnati arts scene.
