Dr. Macy Caldwell was raised in Port Clinton, Ohio. She graduated from Ashland University and was an Academic All-American on their Track and Field team. She continued her education at The Ohio State University College of Optometry where she earned her Doctorate in Optometry in 2019. While in school she gained experience in primary care, contact lenses, and the management of ocular diseases such as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, cataracts, and dry eyes.
After graduation, Dr. Caldwell moved to Augusta, Georgia, and focused on ocular disease and primary care. She also expanded her knowledge in low vision while working with Georgia School for the Blind, Center for the Visually Impaired, and Vision Rehabilitation Services.
In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and exploring the great outdoors with her Border Collie, Archie.
